Abstract
A biological activity phenomenon, the cyclose, that occurs in microorganisms is analyzed by using the temporal decorrelation of speckle patterns produced when the specimen is illuminated with a laser beam. The experimental verification of the phenomenon as well as a theoretical model of the distribution of the elementary bacterium are given.
