Annelies Ampe has recently joined the Radboud Radio Lab as System Engineer for the Africa Millimeter Telescope (AMT), which is a single-dish radio telescope to be built in Namibia. Its main purpose is to provide an essential link to the network of telescopes around the globe known as the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), which has recently produced the first ever image of a black hole. Annelies is an experienced space professional with a background in space engineering, whose experience ranges from testing end-to-end secure communications of large navigational projects (Galileo) to leading teams building nano-satellites (CubeSats).
