Advanced multi-functional integrated photonic and cryptographic hardware demands for nonlinear and reconfigurable materials that can efficiently modulate light propagation. By tailoring the chemical formulation of liquid crystalline networks and polymer dispersed and polymer stabilized liquid crystals, we achieved tunable 4D printed photonic structures [1-4] and all-optical multi-level cryptographic functions [5].
