For the requirement of the great breadth and high spectral resolution of hyperspectral sensor, Offner spectral imaging system, which can be divided into two types: prisms and gratings, is designed, and methods to filter secondary spectrum are also discussed. Basic the design, an Offner spectral imaging system with gratings is developed and tested. The research shows that, compared to prisms, Offner spectral imaging system with gratings not only have high spectral resolution, large flat field, little spectral smile and keystone, but also can satisfy the requirement of hyperspectral sensor that the system can be mounted on small or mini satellites.
This paper discussed the main technical specifications and applications of the recent typical infrared optical remote sensor in the world, analyzed and summarized the trends, and speculated the development direction of infrared detection technology in future.
