Profile Summary

I am a Systems Optical Engineering/Physicist. I am passionate about developing optical instruments and solving challenges throughout the product life cycle. As a proactive leader advocating for best practices, I lead by example with strong ethical principles, significantly impacting the company's success. My organizational and project management skills, logic, and common sense have been instrumental in developing new products and driving company growth. While my primary focus is on engineering, I fully support all areas of the company, as I firmly believe that the company's success depends on the success of all its components. I strive to exhibit strong leadership qualities with staff and teams, foster a safe and inclusive environment, mentor staff, and provide resources to maximize productivity for achieving goals.

• Experience designing and developing optical systems.
• Technical Leader 20+ years, Management Team 6+ years.
• Experience in Research, Development, and Manufacturing.
• DOEs and Six Sigma are used to optimize complex variables and processes.
• Engineer and Leader: one day, executing a project, and the next day, developing it.
• Experience developing Product Development Processes and Quality Management Systems.
• At Illumina, I increased revenues from $250k to $5M monthly by solving transfer problems.

My extensive technology background spans a wide range of areas, including 3D imaging, Photogrammetry, AOMs, color science, densitometries, detectors, image processing, lasers, MEMS, microfluidics, OCT, polarization, scanning systems, TIRF, Tera-Watt laser, and more. This breadth of knowledge and experience allows me to approach projects comprehensively, giving you the confidence that I can handle even the most complex projects.
