Based on BIM and GIS technologies, a digital model comprised of geographic information, water quality automatic
monitoring station information, online-monitoring apparatus and equipment and surrounding geographic environment is
developed. Meanwhile, through real-time seamless docking with monitoring data of other systems, a digital visualization
technology of scene fusion and three-dimensional simulation of water quality automatic monitoring station is also
proposed. Lastly, virtual reality (VR) technology is used to demonstrate "man-machine-environment" remote
communication and control, which shows the preliminary application of BIM, GIS and VR technology in the field of
environmental monitoring.
