This article considers the problem of deterioration in the quality of video image transmitted over coaxial cable with a length of over 260 m. The causes of the transmitted signal form distortion are described, and a method for their compensation based on the correction of the signal on the transmitting side is proposed. The results of a research of the video signal distortions compensation obtained experimentally using a hardware prototype of a pre-corrector are presented.
