Dr. Gary Georgeson is the Boeing Senior Technical Fellow in Nondestructive Evaluation & Measurement (NDE&M). In this role, Gary is the technical leader to NDE and Measurement scientists, engineers and technicians, who are advancing methods for evaluating aerospace structures, during manufacturing and in aircraft service. In his 31 years at Boeing in Seattle, Gary has had the privilege to support many Boeing programs.
Gary holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara, with M.S. and B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the same university.
Gary enjoys the creative and collaborative opportunities Boeing provides. His various innovations (270+ U.S. patents) have not only served Boeing programs, but also helped win contract R&D programs from the USAF, USN, NASA, TTCI, and the FAA. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing, and a regular keynote speaker, having promoted the importance of NDE&M in Spain, Singapore, Germany, Brazil, China and France, as well as the U.S..
On a personal note, he has been married to his beautiful wife Lori for 35 years, and has three adult children and a two year old granddaughter. He holds a Masters in Theology from Fuller Seminary, and is the founding and senior pastor of a local church (est. 1990), with a focus on serving the poor and disenfranchised, and making a difference in people’s lives.
