“Dr. Saidi Reddy Parne is an Associate Professor of Physics, Department of Applied Sciences, at NIT Goa, India. He received his UG Degree in Science from Osmania University, Hyderabad, M.Sc. in Engineering Physics & Instrumentation from Kakatiya University, Warangal, and Ph.D. from NIT Warangal, India. He has over 12 years of experience in Teaching and Research. He has guided four Ph.D. Students and ten are ongoing. His research interests include FBG sensors, Photonics, Gas Sensing, Microwave Absorption Materials, Antimicrobial Study, Nanomaterials and Superconducting Motor. He has authored more than 110 papers in peer-reviewed journals with good impact factors and standard International conferences. He was granted eight international patents and one Indian Patent as an inventor. He authored a book and four book chapters. He has successfully completed one research project and two are ongoing. He is a member of SPIE, IEEE, and IEEE Photonics Society. Also, he is a Senior Member of SPIE and IEEE. Serving as a peer reviewer, editorial board member for various leading journals and is one of the Editors for Frontiers in Sensors Journal.
