Traditional adaptive optics costs much resources as volume, weight and power because of its complex system. Wavefront sensorless adaptive optics is an optimized control method which is based on directly optimizing adaptive optics system characteristic, without wavefront measurement and reconstruction, thus wavefront sensor is not needed, which leads a more simple, cheaper system. Wavefront sensorless adaptive optics is easier to be realized and is the new development direction for adaptive optics. This paper does the research on impact between point target image merit function and wavefront error and gives statistics relationship between wavefront error and point target spot radius, and gives a fitting polynomial between these two parameters, which will be useful for building theoretically applicable area of wavefront sensorless adaptive optics.
