Jonathan Celli is a Professor of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Boston and holds an appointment as a Research Scientist at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research group at UMB develops clinical technologies for image-guided photodynamic therapy (PDT) of oral and pancreatic cancers. His research team also develops and uses a variety of bioengineered 3D tumor models for basic and translational studies examining the role of tumor microenvironment and biophysical properties of tumors as determinants of response to treatment. Prior to joining UMass Prof Celli was an Instructor at Harvard Medical School where he received a K99/R00 career development award from NIH/NCI.
